Our Wines

Here at the Chateau St Croix Winery, we believe in making the highest quality wines possible.  We use very few chemicals in our wines making them extremely palatable.   Troy Chamberlin our wine maker loves red wines.  Join us anytime during our regular business hours to do a wine tasting for $6 per person.
Troy studied in Germany, working with the wineries, crushing, bottling, and then of course drinking the finished products with Laura and friends.  After leaving Europe, he visited wineries in Washington State, Oregon and California.  Loving all that he experienced both in Europe and back home in the states, he started to take classes from UC Davis and make wine at home.
Troy is a listener, he listens to you, his guests, and does his best to make your pallet happy.  If you want a sweet and soft white wine, he can make it.  If you want crisp or oaky, he can do that too.  If you are just a good mid-westerner that likes something  a little sweet in either white or red you will find it in his wine list.
But..... yes there is always a but, Troy LOVES red wine, was this mentioned before?  Yes, it was and it should be mentioned again and again.  A big full Cabernet Sauvignon is most favored, so watch out when you drink his reds.  From Cabernet Sauvignon, Merlot, Syrah, and Zinfandel, he makes all of his red wines 'oh so flavorful'.  Distinct in flavor, bold in color, heavy on the pallet and well, they just speak for themselves.  Go to
www.tastings.com type in Chateau St Croix and see how we are rated.
Let us not forget our local fruit!  Have you had a glass of Troy's Frontenac or Marquette?  His Frontenac Port the new Frontenac/Marquette blend?  It is most amazing, with lovely acid, light tannins, and a most sensitive balance of oak, your pallet will say, "This is local?"  Yes, local fruits like Frontenac, Marquette, Frontenac Gris, La Crescent, and other cold hardy varietals can and do make wine that even the Californians will stop and say, "WOW this is GREAT!"
Come in and visit often, every once in a while Troy will bring wine out of his "stash" and sell a few bottles!

Our liquor license does not allow for outside beer, alcohol or wine to be brought into the winery or on the grounds.
You must be 21 or over to purchase alcohol, age will be verified before ANY wine is shipped.
All prices subject to change without notice.
