Chateau St. Croix Winery strives to produce premium wines with integrity that sets the new standard for excellence in the Upper Midwest. The estate winery is based off of a traditional French chateau featuring a cozy and serene wine tasting experience. As a fully integrated winery, we are able to offer distinguished wines for all to enjoy. We hope you can enjoy a day of fun with us at the Chateau St. Croix, because life's too short to drink bad wine!

Who runs the winery?
Chateau St. Croix Winery is owned and operated by Irv and Anna Geary.

When can I taste wine?
Wine tasting is offered during our regular business hours at a cost of $15 for five wines of your choice.

*Not available during select festivals, please call the winery for availability 


Do I need a reservation?
Reservations are not required for wine tastings, unless you choose our private tour and tasting experience. Visit our events page for more information about private tour and tasting options. 

When are the walk-in tours?
We no longer offer walk-in tours. Please call ahead at least two weeks in advance if your group of ten or more would like a tour on Saturday or Sunday. 

Can I bring my kids to the winery?
Absolutely!  We are family friendly.

Can my dog visit the Chateau?
Yes, dogs can visit.  They must be on a leash and for health code reasons are not allowed in the buildings.

Is there food at the winery?
We have a wonderful bistro with a fantastic menu full of offerings for any group size. Visit our Bistro page to learn more.

Is the winery handicap accessible?
Yes, the entire winery is accessible.  There are no stairs to navigate.

If we have a wedding or private party at the winery are you open?
This is a case by case basis. Please call the winery to learn more or visit our Events Calendar to see if we are closed or open. Our Facebook page will always be updated when we are closed. 

Do you have a place to stay at the winery?
We do not have a B&B or hotel on site, please visit our Area Attractions page for a list of local lodging options.

Who makes Chateau wine?
We have a team approach to wine making at Chateau St. Croix, but Owner and Head Winemaker Irv Geary leads that team. Irv has been Head Winemaker at other local wineries and grows grapes at his vineyard in Minnesota.
